Part-time Jobs

It depends on the students to make a choice whether to take a part time work during the term time or only work during vacations. However, a full time student is legally allowed only 20hrs during term time and full time during vacation. I would say that it depends on the course of study and the capacity of the individual to decide on it.

On the other hand it would be helpful if you have already completed some short time courses such as catering management, bar management, beautician, plumbing, electrical management and retail to get hold of a well paid part-time job. You may have to write a basic exam to clear certification in UK.

Public transport in the UK is generally cheap and well-organised; student cards often get you a discount on buses. If you’re in London, an Oyster card is essential.
